Used Firewall can we use it?

Hello, can we buy a used for examplo M270 and buy all the licenses for it and use it or do we have to have a new product to do it.?

You can buy a used unit & then use it, as long as it was not a demo unit.

The process is, once you have the firewall in hand, is
. create a WG account if you don't currently have one
. open a support case & select Customer Care
. tell them that you want to have a used firewall added to your account
. include a picture of the firewall model & serial number

You should end up with a Feature Key for the firewall.
You can then purchase licenses for this firewall, as needed/desired.
License types are - Standard Support, Basic Security Suite & Total Security Suite.
The 2 Security Suites include Standard Support.
You can run a firewall without an active Standard Support license, but you can't apply any firmware upgrades.

The M270 went End of Sale 01 Jul 2023 and goes End of Life 01 Jul 2028.
EoL means no more support, no more licenses can be applied, etc.

My idea is that i already have a M270 that i bought new however i need a cluster solution with fault tolerance and has M270 is already out of service, and i would like to keep this solution for more 3 years i was thinking of this solution. Mine M270 as total security can tell what licensing i have to have in the sleeping node of the firewall for it to be active on the cluster?

For Active/Active, you need identical licensing on both.
For Active/Passive, you only need Standard Support on the 2nd unit.

Standard support is included with the device correct? or you have to renew it also?

It is a renewal license.
