Is trade-up an option?
Hello. Our church is currently utilizing a T35 which is going EOL next year. We do not own the device as it was provided as part of a package for which we pay a monthly fee for monitoring and support. If we purchase a T45, are we able to take advantage of trade-up pricing or is our only option to purchase the T45 at regular pricing? Thanks!

I would not expect that you can.
Since you don't own the T35, why would you expect that you can use it in a trade up?If you plan to continue using your current support company, then they should be able to offer you and option with a supported firewall model.
If you don't plan to use them, are you planning to manage the new firewall?

You need a copy of the current config.
Plus find out your ISP connection info - DHCP or static IP addr etc. get the full details. If a static IP you will need the gateway addr & subnet mask.Move a Configuration to a New Firebox
https://www.watchguard.com/help/docs/help-center/en-US/Content/en-US/Fireware/basicadmin/config_file_use_new_model_wsm.htmlThere are a number of Internet vendors for WG firewalls which sell them for less than list price.
Find out from your current support company what licenses that are on your current firewall.
Options are - Standard Support - no added security options, Basic Security Suite & Total Security Suite.
There are 1, 3 & 5 year license SKUs & prices for each of the above choices.Once you have the new firewall in hand, then you can get it registered with WG, and get a Feature Key to activate all of the capabilities of the firewall.
Then run the QuickSetup Wizard and add your ISP connection info & local LAN subnet info.
Finally, copy your current config to the firewall, change the model info, import the new Feature Key and save it to the firewall.0

Thanks BB.
That's the answer I expected, but as they say "If you don't ask, the answer is always no".
Our current support company has changed their business model and will no longer be supporting smaller operations such as ours.
And yes, I was looking into managing the firewall myself. I should be able to upload our current configuration into the new device.
Any suggestions as to how to make this transition as smooth as possible?
Thanks!
And you may need to reboot your ISP device when you swap in your new firewall.
Always safe to do this...
Thanks! Looks pretty straight forward.
Will your current support company consider giving you the T35?
If so, then you can register it on your account & then use it in a trade up later, if there is an active trade-up program at that time.
Interesting possibility Bruce!
I'll run it past them and see what they say.
Thanks again.
