Dimension vs Log server

When I called into support they said I should use Dimension instead of log server. How do I switch over? Is it really better?

    WatchGuard Dimension is a new free server we provide over Log-Report Server.

    You can install WatchGuard Dimension in a VMWare or in a Hyper-V environment, on a virtual machine with a 64-bit OS. Dimension is distributed as an .OVA file for installation on VMWare ESXi 5.x and as a .VHD file for installation on Hyper-V.

    So what's the advantage? Is it just that I run it as a VM instead of having to also manage a windows instance?

    Hi Greg,

    the advantage is that you can edit your setting like RAM, or CPU or Hard Disk in easy way, due to the Dimension server is a VM.
    It is also free, so you don't need to buy a service to store your logs.
    And Dimension have also Report you can schedule and generate in base of your needs.
