IPv6 support on PPPoE
Hello
Am I see right that there is no dualstack support on PPPoE connection (in single session) ? Is there any plan to support this in the future?

Hi @Des
At this current time the firebox only supports IPv4 via PPPoE, and doesn't support dual stack. There is a feature request to support this, and it's FBX-6143.
There isn't a current ETA on this feature.
If you'd like to follow that feature request, please create a support case, and mention FBX-6143 somewhere in the case. The tech assigned the case can set it up to follow that request for you.
Okay James, thanks for your answer. I will do this.
is this FBX-6143 solved or is there a workaround ?
Hi @Norman
This specific issue is currently with our development team whom is working on what subtasks need to be completed in order for this to be successfully implemented.
is this FBX-6143 solved by now or anytime near ?
@Norman please create a support case and mention FBX-6143 if you'd like to follow that item.
@Norman that feature request is currently in progress, but there is not an ETA or target release associated with it at this time. I would assume it's at least a year out at this point.
It is now 14 Sep 2024.
As a newcomer to Watchguard stuff and having wasted 45 minutes trying to get an IPv6 address up via my router, I continue to be disappointed by Watchguard's shunning of IPv6.
I have worked with virtually all major vendors and I don't think I've ever encountered a company that boycotts IPv6 like Watchguard does.
For example of this:
https://community.watchguard.com/watchguard-community/discussion/198/need-ipv6-addresses-on-multiple-external-interfaces
It is incredibly disappointing to have such basic features missing from an internet gateway in this day and age.
100% agree
any news on this, IPv6 is over 25 years old now
Hi @Adam_Witwicki
If you'd like an update on this issue, please create a case and mention FBX-6143.
